We are on the search for a Senior Planner to join our planning team on the CreekConnect joint venture in Parramatta, working on major Sydney Water treatment plant projects. You will take charge of a tranche, working closely with the delivery team to ensure timely completion of the project. The role emphasizes expertise in Primavera P6 scheduling, delivery contractor management, delay analysis, resource management, and risk assessment—key for ensuring timely completion of treatment plant upgrades to help shaping a better Western Sydney.

Join CreekConnect and be part of a large-scale, long-term joint venture between Seymour Whyte and Jacobs, awarded by Sydney Water as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) project. As the region expands, so does the need for sustainable and resilient water solutions. The Upper South Creek Network will feature new wastewater pumping stations and gravity carriers, with the first work stage beginning before the year's end. The project also emphasises safety, digital engineering, and compliance with the latest standards, ensuring it meets future needs effectively.

About the Role:

  • Develop programs in Primavera P6 based on construction and contract requirements.
  • Manage and assess delivery contractor’s programme.
  • Regular updates of contract program to protect rights for delay claims and associated contractual rights.
  • Cost and resource load program, produce resource histograms and identify problem areas, produce cash flow forecasts.
  • Run a monthly schedule analysis showing actual versus planned progress during the past period.
  • Provide cash flow data for projects using Primavera P6.
  • Convert Primavera P6 to other program formats as required.
  • Through forensic program analysis, support the projects in contractual extension of time claims.
  • Run risk analysis in Primavera P6.

About You:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent practical expertise
  • Over 10 years’ experience in the civil construction industry, ideally combining on-site delivery with pre-contracts planning
  • Proven track record in developing and managing construction programmes within complex civil environments
  • Strong background in water infrastructure projects, with Sydney Water experience highly regarded
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and associated planning software
  • Solid understanding of diverse contracting models and the mechanics of claims and extensions of time
