About the project
Roads and Maritime Services is upgrading the Princes Highway between Berry and Bomaderry. The $450 million project will improve safety, increase road capacity, improve traffic flow and deliver better and more reliable journeys on this section of the highway. When completed, it will be the final piece of more than 30 kilometres of highway upgraded between Gerringong and Bomaderry.
About the role
With the team already established, the key requirement of this role is to be the primary point of contact within the project for the community and other stakeholders.
The Community Relations Manager is responsible for the delivery of coordinated and effective communication and engagement activities to meet contract requirements, enhance the client and contractors’ reputation. Also to develop and implement project communication and stakeholder engagement plans and issues management strategies to maximise community and stakeholder support.
We work closely with the community following up all enquires, ensuring effective communication and plans are in place to minimise disruption in this region.

Gerringong is perched on a dramatic headland on the NSW South Coast. Beautiful beaches and surf breaks to countryside with top-notch food and wine experiences.
Werri Beach is popular with surfers; and it’s a great picnic spot to grab some fish and chips from the famous Werri Beach Fish Shop.
Foodies love the range of fresh produce farmed and harvested locally including delectable seafood, market garden produce, wine, dairy, coffee and olive oil. The region offers 20 vineyards, and 11 cellar doors, as well as wine tasting tours for weekenders.
Key Skills and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or significant experience in a similar role
- At least five years’ experience working at project site level in civil construction industry
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Driver’s licence (C class)
