We are looking for a proactive and adaptable professional with strong communication and collaboration skills to develop and review safety competency frameworks, conduct training needs assessments, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance. The role also involves implementing wellbeing and fatigue management programs, monitoring training effectiveness, and driving continuous improvement. Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and organisational skills are essential for success in this role.
About the role:
- Safety competency frameworks: Develop and review safety competency frameworks for critical roles, ensuring alignment with safety systems and regulatory standards.
- Training needs and development: Conduct safety training assessments, identify gaps, and collaborate to enhance safety knowledge and behaviours.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality training and compliance with safety regulations.
- Wellbeing and fatigue management: Implement wellbeing and fatigue management programs to support employee health and mitigate workplace risks.
- Compliance and monitoring: Ensure compliance with safety training requirements, maintain accurate records, and measure training effectiveness for continuous improvement.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or Degree in Adult Learning.
- Minimum Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Minimum Mental Health First Aid Certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current C-Class Driver’s Licence.
