Seymour Whyte is delivering the major upgrade of Youngs Crossing Road to improve flood resilience, traffic flow and safety for the growing Moreton Bay region. The project focuses on the section crossing the North Pine River and Sideling Creek, spanning over one kilometre from Protheroe Road to Dayboro Road. Key works include upgrading the road and building a new 200m bridge, improving intersections and culverts, installing walking, cycling and pedestrian infrastructure and implementing wildlife protection measures and landscaping. We are looking for Site Engineers with experience in Civil or Structures who are dedicated to delivering high-quality results and enjoy working collaboratively. Whether your expertise lies in concrete bridgeworks as a Structures Engineer, or in roadworks, earthworks, drainage or pavements as a Civil Engineer, we’d love to hear from you!
About the Roles:
- Support and ensure safety, quality and environmental standards on site.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with method statements and ITPs.
- Manage daily field operations including team supervision, productivity tracking, cost control and estimating.
- Oversee procurement processes and subcontractor management, including claims verification and adherence to governance requirements.
- Identify and escalate risks affecting project delivery.
- Keep up to date with company policies, legislation and industry best practices.
We are looking for candidates who have the following:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
- Hands-on experience in roadworks (earthworks, drainage or pavements) or bridgeworks (concrete structures).
- Knowledge of safety legislation, Australian Standards and industry codes.
- The ability to produce a critical path network with up to 100 activities and prepare, monitor and update short-term production bar charts.
- Knowledge of project scope management, including contractual change procedures and distribution of responsibilities among project stakeholders.
- Strong planning, monitoring and reporting capabilities to support effective project delivery.
Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.
