About the roles
Across our Pre‑Contracts Department, we are always interested in professionals at various stages of their career, including:
- Junior Estimators
- Estimators
- Senior Estimators
- Pre‑Contracts Engineers
- Senior Pre‑Contracts Engineers
Depending on your experience, you may be involved in:
- Preparing accurate and competitive tenders for civil infrastructure projects
- Quantity take‑offs, first‑principle cost estimating and pricing build‑ups
- Reviewing tender documentation and identifying risks and opportunities
- Developing construction methodologies, staging and programs
- Managing subcontractor and supplier enquiries and evaluations
- Contributing to tender strategies, value‑adds and differentiators
- Participating in tender reviews and handovers to delivery teams
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members (senior roles)
What we’re looking for
We’re keen to hear from candidates who bring a combination of technical capability, commercial thinking and a collaborative mindset, including:
- Qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction or a related discipline
- Experience in a civil construction environment (level dependent)
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving skills
- The ability to work across multiple tenders and deadlines
- Confidence working with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Experience with estimating software (Expert Estimation preferred; training provided where needed)
- A proactive attitude and desire to continuously improve how we tender work
