We’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Western Region working on the Great Eastern Highway Underpass project. Based in Binduli, WA (10km West of the City of Kalgoorlie) this role offers a generous project uplift, attractive DIDO and LAFHA conditions, and the opportunity to contribute to a highly complex infrastructure project.
About the role:
- Close liaison with the Project leadership to support the project model, electronic quantity take-offs and control across various levels of tasks, cost codes and revenue pay items
- Develop a detailed understanding of the client’s Standard Method of Measurement and allocate quantities accordingly
- Contribute to monthly project reporting and forecasting, including reconciliation of quantities to date, monthly progress and at completion
- Engagement with Engineers and QA staff on quantity interfaces with the QA system, lot records, WBS and progress
- Manage subcontractor quantity control, where applicable based on subcontract type
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Science, Quantity Surveying or Project/Construction Management
- 5-10 years’ experience in construction cost planning, tendering or project delivery
- Experience and proficiency in 3D/GIS modelling packages such as Autocad, 12D, TBC or similar
- Previous experience in elemental-based forecasting and software
- Experience with Schedule of Rates based contracts is highly regarded
