With long‑term work secured and projects ramping up, we have two roles available for experienced Safety Administrators to join our Safety team and support the safe and efficient delivery of our work on site.
This is an excellent opportunity for organised, detail‑focused professionals with construction experience who are passionate about safety and enjoy being part of a high‑performing project team.
About the role
As a Safety Administrator, you’ll provide critical administrative support to the project Safety team, helping to manage safety systems, records and reporting across site. You’ll work closely with the Project Safety Manager and broader project team, playing an important role in maintaining compliance, supporting safety initiatives and ensuring accurate, up‑to‑date safety documentation.
This role is well‑suited to someone who thrives in a busy site environment, takes pride in accuracy and enjoys contributing to a strong, positive safety culture.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day safety administration support across site
- Manage safety documentation, data entry, scanning, filing and record keeping
- Support site inductions, including preparation, data entry and competency tracking
- Assist with monthly safety reporting, KPI tracking and system updates
- Maintain training records, plant and equipment registers and SDS documentation
- Support internal and external safety audits and reporting requirements
- Assist with coordination of safety training and site meetings
- Provide guidance to project teams on Seymour Whyte systems and processes
- Support injury management, rehabilitation and return‑to‑work administration
- Contribute to fostering a proactive and transparent safety culture on site
About you
You’re a proactive and reliable team player who enjoys supporting others and takes pride in well‑organised, accurate work. You’re comfortable working autonomously but equally enjoy being part of a collaborative project team.
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar administrative role within civil construction or a related industry
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- A genuine interest in health and safety and a team‑first mindset
- The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with site teams
- A current driver’s licence and flexibility to work across site locations as required
