Seymour Whyte is proud to be delivering multiple complex civil infrastructure projects across the Canberra region. With long‑term work secured and projects ramping up, we have two roles available for experienced Safety Administrators to join our Safety team and support the safe and efficient delivery of our work on site.

This is an excellent opportunity for organised, detail‑focused professionals with infrastructure experience who are passionate about safety and enjoy being part of a high‑performing project team.

About the role

As a Safety Administrator, you’ll provide critical administrative support to the project Safety team, helping to manage safety systems, records and reporting across site. You’ll work closely with the Project Safety Manager and broader project team, playing an important role in maintaining compliance, supporting safety initiatives and ensuring accurate, up‑to‑date safety documentation.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day safety administration support across site
  • Manage safety documentation, data entry, scanning, filing and record keeping
  • Support site inductions, including preparation, data entry and competency tracking
  • Assist with monthly safety reporting, KPI tracking and system updates
  • Maintain training records, plant and equipment registers and SDS documentation
  • Support internal and external safety audits and reporting requirements

About you

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar administrative role within civil construction or a related industry
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • A genuine interest in health and safety and a team‑first mindset
  • The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with site teams
  • A current driver’s licence and flexibility to work across site locations as required
