Upper South Creek Network Project – Supporting Western Sydney’s Growth!

Be part of a large-scale, long-term joint venture between Seymour Whyte and Jacobs, awarded by Sydney Water as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) project. As the region expands, so does the need for sustainable and resilient water solutions. The Upper South Creek Network will feature new wastewater pumping stations and gravity carriers, with the first work stage beginning before the year's end. The project also emphasises safety, digital engineering, and compliance with the latest standards, ensuring it meets future needs effectively.

The role:

As Project Training Coordinator, you will be a pivotal part of the project, providing training and onsite mentoring to project staff to ensure we are able to deliver effective results.

  • Support an efficient and proactive onboarding process for new starters.
  • Establish and maintain a Learning Needs Analysis for the EPCM.
  • Coordinate and ensure that team members have project position descriptions in place within the first week of commencing.
  • Assist with the creation of Plans, Procedures, and Policies as required.
  • Oversee subcontractors, consultants and suppliers in accordance with contract requirements, ensuring high performance in terms of training, development, and learning needs analysis.

About you:  

  • Previous experience in the construction industry in a training role.
  • Understanding of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF); Australia’s Vocational Education and Training (VET) Sector.
  • Previous experience managing apprentices/trainees in the construction sector.
  • Knowledge of VET funding arrangements/opportunities and associated eligibility and compliance requirements.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.

Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore, all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.
