We are a successful civil contracting business who has been operating in Australia for over 35 years. With the agility and personal connection of a Tier 2, yet the expertise of a Tier 1, and the enhanced resources of one of the largest, world-class construction companies, VINCI, our employees and clients get the best of three worlds.
As a progressive, leading civil engineering firm built on the strong foundations of our unique history, we engage, enable and empower our people to be better. With you, we are altogether stronger, in building the future we want.
We are mobilising for a major iconic project in Perth that involves engineering design, earthworks, roadworks, buildings, and services.
The primary purpose of the Planner role is to support Project and Pre-Contracts teams by developing, maintaining, and optimising construction programs that align with contractual requirements and project objectives. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate planning, scheduling, and progress tracking, while also contributing to the preparation of claims and extension of time submissions to protect the company’s commercial interests.
About the role:
- Develop and Maintain Project Programs: Create and update construction programs in Primavera P6 in line with project and contract requirements, ensuring timely and accurate progress tracking.
- Support Delay and EOT Claims: Regularly update contract programs to support delay analysis and extension of time (EOT) claims, protecting the project's contractual rights.
- Resource & Cost Planning: Load programs with cost and resource data, generate histograms, identify potential problem areas, and produce accurate project cash flow forecasts.
- Performance Reporting: Conduct monthly schedule analyses to compare planned versus actual progress, providing insights to the project team and stakeholders.
- Compliance & System Integration: Convert program schedules into required formats and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and current industry standards.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the civil construction industry, with exposure to both on-site operations and Pre-Contracts environments.
- Proven ability to develop construction programs using Primavera P6, with specific experience in lineal infrastructure projects.
- Relevant tertiary or practical qualifications, with strong computer literacy including Microsoft Suite and project systems such as Viewpoint.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, building positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
We have a range of additional benefits available for our employees:
- Health & Wellbeing – discounted health insurance, seasonal vaccinations, wellness discounts, fertility benefit and employee assistance program (EAP).
- Time for life / Work life balance – birthday leave, purchased leave program, paid parental leave and flexible work arrangements.
- Financial wellbeing – competitive remuneration, annual performance bonuses, salary continuance insurance and employee share program.
- Career development – training, mentoring programs, and leadership development program.
Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.
