We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Environmental and Sustainability Advisor to join our project team on the Sunshine Coast. Working closely and collaboratively with our team, and our partners, this role is fundamental to the success of our project by ensuring compliance with all management plans, procedures, permits, legislation, and contractual requirements.

About the role:

  • Undertake regular site inspections.
  • Provide environmental and sustainability advice to construction personnel.
  • Environmental monitoring and reporting including; noise/vibration, water quality, air quality, soil sampling, sustainability monitoring data (water, waste, fuel, energy, material used), and flora/fauna observations.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of environmental training materials and programs, toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, and the site environmental induction.
  • Conduct environmental risk assessments and Work Method Statements and supervise high-risk environmental construction activities.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification – Environmental Engineer/Science.
  • Minimum of six experience within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Company Quality Plan, and legal and moral duty of care.
  • Working knowledge of safety and environmental legislation, Australian Standards, and industry codes.
  • Understanding the specific project scope of works and contractual procedures for managing change.
  • Current C-Class Driver’s License.
