About the role:

We are looking for a Project Commercial Manager to join our team working at Melbourne Airport, providing commercial support to the project team. If you are a Senior Contracts Administrator looking for a step up in your career, we would like to hear from you.

  • Report regularly to the Project Manager and Senior Management on the financial, contractual, and administrative status of the project.
  • Maintain systems to manage all financial and contractual aspects of the Project.
  • Co-ordinate day-to-day commercial aspects of site, including invoices and progress claims with close consultation with the site manager and foremen.
  • Awareness of Head Contract and its provisions to support compliance and mirror these Head Contract conditions within subcontract agreements.
  • Review subcontract agreements including standard and special conditions relevant:
    • with emphasis on minimising risk areas, and
    • review the scope of works with the Contracts Manager/ project engineering team to ensure documents comply.

The successful applicant will have the following experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Law, or Engineering (Civil).
  • Experience working on similar projects – Roads, Bridges, ect.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation (Building Code, BIF, BCIPA, BICSPA, etc).
  • High standard of communication and reporting skills.
  • Sound negotiation skills and the ability to interpret and analyse specific data.
