Join Seymour Whyte, a leading construction company renowned for delivering exceptional projects across Australia. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Commercial Manager to join our project team in Western Sydney.
The Mulgoa Road Upgrade Alliance, a collaboration between Transport for NSW, Seymour Whyte, and Turnbull Engineering, focuses on transforming Mulgoa Road in Sydney’s west. Key features include expanding the road to six lanes, enhancing safety with improved access and turning lanes, relocating utilities, constructing a noise wall, and introducing dedicated bus and active transport corridors. The project aims to reduce congestion, improve road safety, support active transport, and future-proof the infrastructure for population growth.
As a Project Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the commercial aspects of our construction projects. Your responsibilities will include preparing and analysing project budgets, managing subcontracts, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. You will work closely with project teams, providing commercial guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

What You'll Do:
- Ensure compliance with head contract conditions and incorporate relevant terms into subcontract agreements.
- Prepare and negotiate progress claims, variations, extensions of time, and subcontractor payments.
- Provide commercial advice during tender negotiations, including risk assessment and recommendations.
- Lead and train teams in contract management, financial systems, and compliance procedures.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to manage expectations and resolve issues.
- Implement company procedures while ensuring alignment with legislation, industry standards, and project requirements.
Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver's License and have their own transport.
