We have an opportunity for an experienced Corporate Communications Advisor to join our team for a full-time six-month contract to cover a parental leave period. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive impactful corporate communications outcomes, with a strong focus on new media and internal communications. By blending content creation, brand management, and visual / digital marketing expertise, you will play a key role in delivering organisational objectives and providing generalist communications advice.

At the heart of this role is the ability to bring to life the stories that highlight our work, demonstrate our progress toward achieving our Strategic Plan, and showcase the meaningful impact we are making through smarter partnerships and innovative solutions – embodying our commitment to being a smarter way to more.

Key accountabilities:

  • Implement internal communication and employee engagement activities to exemplify our employee value proposition and drive engagement.
  • Create compelling stories to engage internal and external audiences through written, video, and graphical content.
  • Contribute to health & wellbeing; diversity, equality, and inclusion; and corporate social responsibility initiatives to drive our People Prosper agenda.
  • Create and update digital content across our new media platforms.
  • Develop multi-channel content to increase awareness of Seymour Whyte's employer brand.
  • Prepare consistent and engaging presentations for business updates across all sites.
  • Administer the intranet, including content creation and reviews/audits, to align with business needs.
  • Monitor and report on service delivery metrics, overall performance, and effectiveness achieved.

 Key requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or significant experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing and communication principles, including digital marketing, content planning, public relations, and communication strategies.
  • Proven experience managing brand strategies, and internal communication channels.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • High-level initiative, problem-solving, and negotiation skills to achieve positive stakeholder outcomes.
  • Experience with an understanding and knowledge of web (intranet) environment practices
  • Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • At least five years' relevant experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adobe Creative Suite skills an advantage.
  • Full driver's licence.

Many of our projects are in locations without access to public transport. Therefore, all applicants must hold a current driver's licence and have their own transport.
