Reporting to the Traffic Manager, the Traffic Engineer (Traffic Drafter) will be responsible for creating both long-term and short-term traffic management drawings, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications and requirements. 

About the role: 

• Assist in project design delivery: Support the Traffic Manager to ensure the achievement of quality, completion, and profit objectives in traffic design 
• Coordinate design team interactions: Work with various project members, including design, construction, and planning teams, to facilitate smooth design processes 
• Ensure design compliance: Understand and follow design compliance standards and reporting procedures, ensuring the traffic design meets regulatory requirements 
• Support design approval process: Help in coordinating issue resolution during the design approval phase to ensure timely project progression 
• Contribute to budget and schedule development: Assist the Design Manager in developing design budgets, schedules, and tracking/reporting progress against them. 

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience

• Proficient in Rapid Plan or equivalent software for drafting TGS’s
• Working knowledge of the traffic management process and requirements for large infrastructure projects.  
• Be highly skilled in the production of both long-term traffic management and short-term lane closure drawings using CA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Current C-Class Driver’s Licence.
