Seymour Whyte is seeking an enthusiastic and confident commercial accounting professional looking to make an impact across our business.  You will be a strong communicator, able to establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, engaging and influencing with an energetic and analytical approach that enables you to see the bigger picture.  As someone keen to advance their career, it will be your responsibility to drive, establish and develop key functions.

About the role:

  • Review and consolidation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Preparation of monthly management reports including commentary.
  • Provide support and training to other team members as required.
  • Develop and document policies and procedures for key accountabilities.
  • Partner with greater business to help key stakeholders achieve their financial objectives.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant tertiary degree (Accounting or Business) with a minimum of 5 years' work experience in commerce.
  • Membership to CA or CPA program.
  • Experience within heavy industry such as Civil Engineering, Construction or Mining.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Ability to work with initiative, troubleshoot and problem solve.
