Join Seymour Whyte for the Beerburrum to Nambour (B2N) Upgrade Project, a major civil infrastructure project being delivered as a joint venture with John Holland and focused on enhancing the rail transport network between Beerburrum and Nambour on the Sunshine Coast. Once completed, B2N will improve the North Coast Line, making travel faster and better connecting the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and Brisbane.

We are seeking experienced Project Engineers to join our Civil team on this major infrastructure project.  Stage 1 of works includes track duplication between Beerburrum and Beerwah, construction of new road overpasses and intersection upgrades, expansion of park ’n’ ride facilities and upgrades to power and signalling systems.

About the role:

  • Manage workforce, including trades, technicians, site supervisors and contractors.
  • Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards.
  • Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure projects are executed in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
  • Interpret designs and suggest design modifications to simplify construction and enhance existing designs.

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
  • Demonstrated experience delivering civil infrastructure construction projects.
  • Proven experience in civil earthworks or drainage.
  • Thorough understanding of client specifications and ability to produce ITPs for specific trades.
  • Exposure to preparation of contractual claims and variations.
  • Knowledge of head and subcontract agreements.
