Seymour Whyte is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join the Creek Connect team and support the successful delivery of key work packages on this significant infrastructure project. This role plays a vital part in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with design, contractual and program requirements.

As a Project Engineer, you’ll coordinate day‑to‑day package delivery, working closely with delivery partners, supervisors and engineering teams to keep the project moving. You’ll assist with contract administration, quality assurance, programming, commercial support and risk management, contributing to a high‑performing, collaborative project environment.

CreekConnect – Supporting Western Sydney’s Growth!

Be part of a large-scale, long-term joint venture between Seymour Whyte and Jacobs, awarded by Sydney Water as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) project. As the region expands, so does the need for sustainable and resilient water solutions. The Upper South Creek Network will feature new wastewater pumping stations and gravity carriers, with the first work stage beginning before the year's end. The project also emphasises safety, digital engineering, and compliance with the latest standards, ensuring it meets future needs effectively.

About Seymour Whyte:

We are a successful civil contracting business that has been operating in Australia for over 35 years. With the agility and personal connection of a Tier 2, yet the expertise of a Tier 1, and the enhanced resources of one of the largest, world-class construction companies, VINCI, our employees and clients get the best of three worlds.

As a progressive, leading civil engineering firm built on the strong foundations of our unique history, we engage, enable and empower our people to be better. With you, we are altogether stronger, in building the future we want.

About the Role:

  • Support delivery of allocated work packages across design, construction and handover
  • Coordinate daily activities with delivery partners and site teams
  • Assist with NEC4 contract admin, early warnings and documentation
  • Monitor program progress, risks and long‑lead items
  • Verify quantities, progress claims and maintain accurate records
  • Drive quality, safety and environmental compliance on site

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Experience delivering work packages across design, construction and commissioning
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and constructability
  • Exposure to contract administration, preferably within NEC4 or similar frameworks
  • Experience monitoring program progress, risks and long‑lead procurement
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes, site inspections and compliance requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Company Benefits:

  • Health & Wellbeing – discounted health insurance, seasonal vaccinations, wellness discounts, fertility benefit and employee assistance program (EAP).
  • Time for life / Work life balance – birthday leave, purchased leave program, paid parental leave and flexible work arrangements.
  • Financial wellbeing – competitive remuneration, annual performance bonuses, salary continuance insurance and employee share program.
  • Career development – training, mentoring programs, and leadership development program.

Many of our projects are not accessible via public transport and require travel between and within active construction sites. As a result, a current Driver’s Licence and the ability to drive on site are essential.
