Seymour Whyte, together with Vinci Grande Projects and Beca, has been chosen by ICON Water to deliver the Design and Construct upgrade of the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre - the ACT’s main wastewater treatment facility and the largest of its kind in inland Australia. This four-year project will modernise the plant’s waste handling systems, support future growth, and prepare for potential changes to air emission standards. Located near central Canberra, the upgrade will strengthen and future-proof critical infrastructure for the region.

As the Quality Coordinator, you will play a hands-on role in developing and maintaining quality systems that support safe, compliant and efficient delivery on site. Working closely with the Project Manager, site teams and subcontractors, you will help ensure quality requirements are understood, applied and continuously improved throughout the life of the project. Your work will have a direct impact on the reliability and long-term performance of critical infrastructure for the Canberra region.

About the role:

  • Implement and maintain the project Quality Management System
  • Develop inspection and test plans with project and site teams
  • Monitor subcontractor and supplier compliance with quality requirements
  • Analyse quality data, manage non-conformances and recommend improvements
  • Support risk assessments, SWMS and continuous improvement initiatives

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in quality assurance within civil or engineering projects
  • Strong understanding of QA systems, client standards and specifications
  • Ability to work collaboratively with site-based teams
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and a current driver’s licence

Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.
