Seymour Whyte is seeking a Safety Advisor to support safe and compliant delivery of the Mamre Road Project. This role is responsible for coordinating on‑site safety activities, supporting the implementation and maintenance of project safety systems, and providing practical guidance to project personnel.
The Safety Advisor will contribute to building a strong safety culture, conducting inspections and audits, assisting with incident investigations, and ensuring adherence to legislative requirements and Seymour Whyte’s safety standards. This position plays a key part in promoting safe work practices and supporting the project team in achieving positive HSEQ outcomes.
Mamre Road Upgrade:
Seymour Whyte has been awarded the Mamre Road Upgrade Stage 1 construction contract by Transport for NSW to upgrade a 3.8 km section of Mamre Road between the M4 Motorway at St Clair and Erskine Park Road in Erskine Park, Western Sydney. The project will transform the current two‑lane unseparated road into a four‑lane divided road with a large central median to allow for future expansion, reducing congestion, improving safety and travel times, and supporting future growth in the region as part of the Western Sydney Priority Growth Area initiative.
Works include upgrades to three major intersections, construction of two large structural culverts and extensive drainage systems, a new noise wall and major utility relocations. The project also includes sustainability initiatives such as reusing excess materials and promoting active transport through a new shared path. Construction started in 2024 and is scheduled for completion in 2028.
