We are seeking a Design Coordinator to support the successful delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will coordinate design activities, track deliverables, manage documentation and support collaboration between design, construction and project teams. You will play an important role in helping ensure design outputs are delivered on time, meet project requirements and are effectively integrated into project delivery.

You will bring experience in design coordination, project coordination, design engineering or a similar role within infrastructure, water or construction environments. With strong organisational skills and a proactive approach, you will support design reviews, approvals, consultant coordination and stakeholder engagement while helping manage design risks, compliance requirements and project reporting. You will enjoy working as part of a team, building positive relationships and contributing to high quality project outcomes.

About the Role:

  • Support the Design Manager in coordinating design activities across major water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Manage design deliverables, approvals, documentation and project records to keep projects on track.
  • Work closely with designers, consultants, construction teams and stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.
  • Monitor design progress, identify risks and help resolve issues that may impact delivery.
  • Support design compliance, governance, Safety in Design and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

About you:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in a Design Coordinator, Design Engineer, Project Coordinator or similar role.
  • Experience on major water, treatment plant, wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating design documentation, reviews, approvals and stakeholder comments.
  • Familiarity with temporary works coordination and temporary works design processes.
  • Strong document control, record management and design tracking experience.
  • Knowledge of design development, approval and construction delivery processes.
