We are a successful civil contracting business who has been operating in Australia for over 35 years. With the agility and personal connection of a Tier 2, yet the expertise of a Tier 1, and the enhanced resources of one of the largest, world-class construction companies, VINCI, our employees and clients get the best of three worlds.

Our Estimating team plays a pivotal role in setting our projects up for success. With a strong EOI and tender conversion rate, the team works on complex, high-profile opportunities and helps shape the strategies that ultimately become the projects our delivery teams bring to life.

We’re on the lookout for a motivated Civil Engineer, ideally someone currently working at a Project Engineer level, who’s interested in stepping into a Pre Contracts role and joining our team at our Eight Mile Plains head office as a Junior Estimator. This is a great chance to take your project delivery experience and apply it in a new way, while building your estimating skills with hands on support from a knowledgeable and experienced team.

About the role:

  • Work closely with the estimating team to prepare accurate tender estimates and support the development of bid proposals and submission documents for civil construction projects
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to request quotes and gather pricing for materials, labour and services
  • Assist with early‑stage procurement activities on new projects, including managing RFQs in line with tender programs
  • Contribute to estimating quantities and costs, identify schedule discrepancies, and ensure timely completion of tender estimates
  • Maintain accurate records of correspondence, calculations, and methodologies throughout each tender process

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
  • Experience delivering civil infrastructure construction projects
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Effective time‑management and multitasking skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and handle feedback professionally
  • Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a high-performing pre-contracts team

Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.

We have a range of benefits available for our employee:

  • Financial Wellbeing: competitive remuneration, salary continuance insurance and employee share program
  • Generous Leave Benefits: purchased leave program, paid parental leave, and birthday leave – have your birthday off on us!
  • Career Development: training, mentoring and leadership development programs
  • Health & Wellness: discounted health insurance, seasonal vaccinations, fertility benefit and employee assistance program (EAP)
  • Enjoy shopping, fitness and wellbeing discounts through our Flare and WHEREFIT partnerships including discounted gym memberships and classes
