Seymour Whyte is gearing up for an exciting pipeline of opportunities across Western Australia, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Perth-based team.

We're seeking someone who combines strong technical engineering expertise with practical construction experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver construction works to achieve project milestones and contractual requirements
  • Develop work plans, methodologies, risk assessments and site documentation to support safe project delivery
  • Manage and mentor Site Engineers, Graduate Engineers and other project team members
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, labour, plant and materials to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Monitor project productivity, identify improvement opportunities and drive performance against targets
  • Manage procurement packages and support the delivery of best-value outcomes
  • Review project progress, costs and forecasts while contributing to profitable project delivery
  • Manage quality requirements including inspections, testing, ITPs, lot closure and non-conformance management
  • Develop short and medium-term programs and implement corrective actions where required
  • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders

About you

You are a driven and experienced Senior Project Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and working as part of a high-performing team.

You will bring:

  • Significant experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects
  • Strong planning, programming and construction methodology expertise
  • Experience managing project risks and developing practical engineering solutions
  • Working knowledge of Quality procedures, WHS, Environmental and HR/ IR procedures
  • Ability to produce Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and ITP’s for all trades
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare contractual claims and variations
  • Detailed knowledge of head and subcontract agreements
  • Ability to develop, implement and manage budgets and forecasts
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Current C-Class Driver’s Licence
