We are currently looking for Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our Transactional Services team, based at our Head Office in Brisbane.

This role will provide support and guidance to the accounts payable function and is designed to implement and further develop the necessary procedures and policies to ensure the accounts payable function operates efficiently, is well organised and maintaining a high level of compliance.

About the role:

  • Ensuring Accounts Payable processes are appropriately documented and periodically maintained.
  • Mentoring junior roles within the team to ensure tasks are completed with accuracy and are consistent with the Company’s compliance expectations.
  • Exploring process improvement strategies for the Accounts Payable function.
  • Ownership of the new supplier establishment process and related supplier management database.
  • Reconciling supplier statements (as allocated) including investigation of unreconciled items.
  • Preparing and presenting accounts analysis reports.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly supplier payment runs.
  • Implementing new processes including the introduction of corporate expense purchase orders.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Proven experience to autonomously problem solve issues that arise.
  • Substantial experience in construction or similar high volume environment.
  • Experience using an ERP system e.g. Viewpoint or similar.
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks whilst under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to foster harmonious working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
