Seymour Whyte is delivering Coomera Connector Stage 1 South, a key infrastructure project improving transport links between Logan City and the Gold Coast. By building additional crossings over the Coomera and Nerang Rivers, this stage will ease congestion on the M1 and provide residents in growing areas such as Helensvale and Coomera with an alternative route.
As a Senior Contracts Administrator, you will play a key role within the project team, providing accurate and timely contract administration to support cost control, commercial reporting and overall project performance. Working closely with project leadership, you will manage subcontractor and supplier agreements end‑to‑end, ensuring compliance and strong commercial outcomes. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a major infrastructure project as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Ensure Head Contract awareness and compliance, with relevant conditions appropriately incorporated into subcontract agreements.
- Manage and support the subcontract tendering process, including evaluations, negotiations and risk assessments in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Prepare and review subcontract scopes of work and agreements, ensuring clarity, statutory compliance and effective risk management.
- Administer subcontractor payments and claims, including valuations, variations, back charges and compliance with Security of Payment requirements.
- Provide commercial support and advice to the project team, assisting with negotiations, agreements and fulfilment of commercial obligations.
- Maintain effective financial and document control processes, supporting reporting, cost tracking, accruals and compliance with company policies and legislation.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Relevant formal qualifications in financial or commercial administration (Diploma or Certificate), or significant experience in commercial/contracts administration within a principal contractor environment.
- Experience with and understanding of procurement, commercial, financial and cost management processes and systems.
- Proven ability to interpret client head contracts, subcontract terms and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.
