We are seeking a Senior Design Coordinator to support the Design Manager in the successful delivery of major civil infrastructure projects. In this role, you will help coordinate design activities across the project lifecycle, working closely with designers, consultants, construction teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders to ensure design outcomes are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.
You will play an important role in keeping design activities on track, supporting the review and approval of design deliverables, managing design registers and helping resolve issues that may impact programme, quality, cost or construction delivery. This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a busy project environment, can bring structure to complex information and is confident working with a range of technical and project stakeholders.

About the Role:
- Support the Design Manager with the planning, coordination and delivery of design activities across major civil infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate design deliverables, reviews, approvals, actions and close out requirements.
- Work closely with designers, consultants, subcontractors, construction teams and stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
- Monitor design progress and help identify risks, issues or constraints that may impact programme, quality, cost or construction outcomes.
- Assist with Safety in Design, design compliance, approvals and governance requirements.
- Coordinate design meetings, workshops and reviews, ensuring actions are captured, communicated and followed through.
- Support the resolution of design related issues, non conformances, defects and quality matters.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and help drive practical, buildable and value driven design outcomes.
About You:
- Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in a Senior Design Coordinator, Design Coordinator, Design Engineer, Project Engineer or similar role.
- Experience working on major road, rail, civil, structures, water, transport or broader infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of design development, approvals and construction delivery processes.
- Experience coordinating design documentation, reviews, approvals and stakeholder comments.
- Confident working with consultants, project teams, subcontractors, clients and other key stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
