Upper South Creek Network Project – Supporting Western Sydney’s Growth!

Be part of a large-scale, long-term joint venture between Seymour Whyte and Jacobs, awarded by Sydney Water as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) project. As the region expands, so does the need for sustainable and resilient water solutions. The Upper South Creek Network will feature new wastewater pumping stations and gravity carriers, with the first work stage beginning before the year's end. The project also emphasises safety, digital engineering, and compliance with the latest standards, ensuring it meets future needs effectively.

About Seymour Whyte:

We are a successful civil contracting business that has been operating in Australia for over 35 years. With the agility and personal connection of a Tier 2, yet the expertise of a Tier 1, and the enhanced resources of one of the largest, world-class construction companies, VINCI, our employees and clients get the best of three worlds.

As a progressive, leading civil engineering firm built on the strong foundations of our unique history, we engage, enable and empower our people to be better. With you, we are altogether stronger, in building the future we want.

We are seeking Project Engineers to join the exiting Upper South Creek Network Project.

We’re especially interested in engineers with solid experience in procurement management, stakeholder/client liaison, and end-to-end delivery. While a water background is beneficial, we’re also keen to speak with engineers from mechanical, electrical, or broader infrastructure projects, particularly those with exposure to treatment plants, oil & gas, or other services-heavy environments.

About the Role:

  • Manage procurement and contract administration for key packages.
  • Interpret and implement complex designs across site delivery.
  • Coordinate with a range of stakeholders, including contractors, design teams, and Sydney Water.
  • Track cost, productivity, and construction progress.
  • Contribute to a collaborative EPCM delivery model.

About You:

  • Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or similar).
  • Experience delivering complex civil infrastructure — ideally in water, oil & gas, process facilities, or large services-heavy projects.
  • Site-based experience on infrastructure or complex services projects.
  • Strong procurement and stakeholder/client management experience.
  • Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused engineers with strong communication skills.
  • EPCM or alliance-style delivery experience is highly desirable.
  • Pre-contract exposure is a bonus but not required.

Company Benefits:

  • Health & Wellbeing – discounted health insurance, seasonal vaccinations, wellness discounts, fertility benefit and employee assistance program (EAP).
  • Time for life / Work life balance – birthday leave, purchased leave program, paid parental leave and flexible work arrangements.
  • Financial wellbeing – competitive remuneration, annual performance bonuses, salary continuance insurance and employee share program.
  • Career development – training, mentoring programs, and leadership development program.

Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.

Seymour Whyte is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we encourage applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds, including veterans. Our commitment to an equitable construction industry extends to an inclusive culture that embraces our differences and gives everyone the opportunity to grow and be equally valued. We're unified in our direction toward having a workplace that is balanced and fair for all.
