Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre

Seymour Whyte, in a Joint Venture with Vinci Grande Projects and Beca, have been selected by ICON water to embark on the Design and Construct upgrade of the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre (LMWQCC), the ACT’s primary wastewater treatment facility and the largest of its kind in inland Australia. This 4-year project will modernise the plant’s waste handling system while preparing for future growth and potential updates to air emission standards. Located near central Canberra, the project will enhance and support the region’s critical infrastructure.

As the Senior Contracts Administrator, you’ll play a key role in keeping projects on track—managing contracts, costs, and supplier agreements from start to finish, making sure everything runs smoothly and on time.

About the Role:

  • Champion contract management: Oversee contracts and ensure every agreement supports smooth, successful project delivery from start to finish.
  • Drive compliance and minimize risk: Make sure all contracts and processes meet legal and company standards, reducing risk at every stage.
  • Empower teams: Provide the right information and support so everyone can excel in their roles.
  • Streamline payments and reporting: Keep project finances on track by processing payments accurately and supporting clear, timely reporting.
  • Foster collaboration and innovation: Work closely with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to solve challenges and deliver outstanding results together.

About You:

  • Qualifications in financial or commercial administration, or significant experience in contracts administration within a principal contractor environment.
  • Strong skills in MS Office, with proven experience in procurement, commercial, and financial/project management systems.
  • In-depth understanding of client head contract documents, relevant legislation, and company subcontract terms and their impact on project delivery and risk.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse people and situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to support teams, ensure compliance, and deliver accurate, timely contract administration throughout all project phases.
