In this role, you’ll support the HR Manager remotely (based in Sydney) while working across multiple civil and water projects in Canberra — including ICON Water’s Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre (LMWQCC)— all conveniently located within 30 minutes of each other. You'll be at the heart of onboarding new team members, coordinating training, and keeping project programs on track.

About the role:
- Support regional HR processes, including HRIS administration, and ensure compliance with project-specific and JV partner systems.
- Provide advice on employee relations matters, including IR legislation and Enterprise Agreements.
- Coordinate onboarding for new employees and support HR practices aligned with project workforce planning objectives.
- Support the delivery of various project requirements covering workplace relations, first nations participation, diversity and inclusion, and training.
- Manage HR reporting, handle administrative tasks and contribute to projects that enhance HR services and employee experiences.
About you:
- Previous HR experience, ideally in construction, with formal qualifications or a willingness to obtain them.
- Strong relationship management skills and clear, professional communication with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with HR systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Current driver’s licence.
